Position at IIB, other positions and academic career

Constantin joined the Institute for International Business as a Research and Teaching Associate in February 2024. He holds a master’s degree in Export & Internationalization Management from WU Vienna. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in Sinology from the University of Vienna, and a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics & Social Sciences from WU Vienna, with a specialization in International Business & Organization Studies. During his studies, he gained international experience studying at the Peking University in China and the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. Besides his studies, Constantin gained practical experience in the infrastructure sector, the financial sector, and the creative industries.

Research interest

Constantin's research interests span the intersection of finance and geopolitics. He explores decoupling of markets and non-market strategies in geopolitics, while in finance, he focuses on risk management of foreign investments in high-risk countries, loan syndication and project finance.
