What does Marina Hoermanseder stand for?

For craftsmanship, design and entrepreneurship!

For me it is simply beautiful to create something creative with crafts and at the same time to have my own business - and to be successful with it.

This was all made possible by the symbiosis of my fashion studies and my studies at WU. I took a lot with me from there.

What did WU give you?

WU gives you the tools - but mastering them requires a lot of practice and perseverance, and you have to do it yourself.

No degree program in the world can prepare you for all the stumbling blocks that will come your way as an entrepreneur. But WU has managed to awaken my interest in entrepreneurship and business.

What can we learn from your WU story?

Never let anyone stop you. I really wanted to specialize in entrepreneurship at WU, but my grade point average was not good enough to get into the lectures for it.

Nevertheless, I continued on my path, founded a company and became active as an entrepreneur.

Your advice for talented people?

Take the plunge - and do without too much input from outside. The others always know everything better. But: your plan - your company - your gut feeling.

Don't be afraid of failure and don't judge those who fail. Rather, let them inspire you - after all, they tried!
