Christian is a doctoral candidate and research associate at WU’s Institute for Interactive Marketing & Social Media (IMSM). He studied Software Engineering at TU Wien with majors in Programming Languages, Distributed Systems, and IT-Security. At the same time, he studied business administration at WU Wien and majored in Interactive Marketing and Data Science and, more specifically, in data exploration and big data analysis (his bachelor thesis addressed the role of YouTube in the music industry). In November 2016, he started as a research associate at IMSM. In his research, he is interested in influencer marketing and studies monetization strategies for new media business models (e.g., streaming services like Netflix and YouTube).
