Topics are:

If you are interested in writing your bachelor thesis in philosophy, please send us – gabriele.mras@wu.ac.at, or stefan.riegelnik@wu.ac.at, or bettina.gerdenich@wu.ac.at – a proposal. The proposal should contain up to 1000 words and cover the following aspects:

  1. Working title

  2. Topic and research question

  3. Relevant literature

  4. A time schedule

  5.

In the Business and Economics (BBE) program such a proposal is – according to the general guidelines – part of the "Application Process" and provide the basis for the "Bachelor's Thesis Agreement". In Philosophy, the application process consists in approaching the potential supervisor directly with a first version of your proposal.

A bachelor thesis, according to the study plan, has to embody the work of c. 200 hours corresponding to 8 ECTS (BAWISO) or 250 hours corresponding to 10 ECTS (BBE), which should translate into 30 to 40 pages A4 (or 10,000 to 15,000 words plus references and possible figures and tables). As a guideline, you should have used at least 20-25 relevant academic works for your bachelor. Details and concrete specifications are to be agreed on with a.o Univ Prof. Gabriele Mras and Dr. Stefan Riegelnik.
