Project with the Federal Open Youth Work Network

As a strategic partner of the nationwide network of open youth work, the NPO & SE Competence Center co-developed a multidimensional (self-) assessment tool for institutions of open youth work within the Erasmus+ project "Participatory Quality Development of Open Youth Work". This was based on the previous quality development measures (such as the quality management handbook).

The concrete aim was to develop an evaluation instrument consisting of quantitative and qualitative procedures, which is well applicable for practitioners of Open Youth Work in Austria and in the partner countries. Participatory cross-sectoral and cross-national cooperation proved to be particularly effective: the project results were developed, discussed and evaluated on a broad and diverse basis, ensuring the greatest possible sustainability.

The NPO & SE Competence Center had mainly an advisory role in this project and supported the establishment and preparation of the qualitative and quantitative methods of the evaluation tool.

Further project partners are the network of youth centers and meeting places in South Tyrol (n.e.t.z) and the young Europe-wide network POYWE (Professional Open Youth Work in Europe).
