German Toolkit - German as a Foreign Language
In the Language Resource Center you can find plenty of materials for learning German as a foreign language. All books that can be borrowed are marked in green. Books can be loaned for up to two weeks. Here is a selection of particularly useful materials that can be found in the Language Resource Center.
Self-study courses with audio CDs
Miteinander - available in Arabic, English, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Thai, and Turkish. Access to audio CDs via Digital Lab. Books can be borrowed. Category ‘German for Beginners’ (bookshelf #2) and Category ‘Tandem’ (in the lounge area).
PONS Power-Sprachkurs Deutsch als Fremdsprache - with English instructions. Category ‘German for Beginners’ (bookshelf #2).
Deutsch kompakt - consisting of workbook, textbook, and audio CDs. Available in Arabic, English, Russian, and Spanish. Some books can be borrowed. Category ‘German for Beginners’ (bookshelf #2).
Deutsch rapid - consisting of workbook and audio CDs. Available in Arabic, Albanian, Italian, Polish, and Spanish. Category ‘German for Beginners’ (bookshelf #2).
Cornelsen Sprachkurs Plus - consisting of textbook, companion book, and audio CDs. Available in Arabic, French, Polish, Spanish, Russian, and Turkish. Books can be borrowed. Category ‘German for Beginners’ (bookshelf #2).
Language learning software
Digital Publishing Intensivkurs Niveau A1 - B2 - available through the Digital Lab.
Rosetta Stone - the most extensive software package for German currently available. You can find the program in all of our tandem rooms.

Pluspunkt Deutsch - available for A1, A2, and B1. Workbook, course book, and audio CDs for every level. Some books can be borrowed. Category ‘Course-Relevant Materials’ (bookshelf #2).

Österreich Spiegel & Deutsch Perfekt - recent issues in the lounge area. Previous issues in the shelf next to the entrance (oesterreichinstitut.at/lernmaterialien/oesterreich-spiegel/ - deutsch-perfekt.com). With audio CD.
