Would you like to learn more about sustainability?

You can find current literature on the topic in the WU Catalog. We would especially like to recommend the Encyclopedia of the UN Sustainability Development Goals, a major work in 17 volumes on the SDGs. If you prefer to browse the shelves, you can do so in AR (Nature Conservation and Environmental Protection), MS 8950 - MS 9000 (Environmental Sociology), QT (Environmental Economics), QP 240 (Environmental Management), QR 800 - QR 870 (Transport Economics), QR 536 (Renewable Energy) and QY (Regional Economic Policy, City Planning), among others.

Many of our journals and databases also focus on the topic of sustainability and sustainable resources, including, for example:

  • ENDS Environmental Data Services Europe: European environmental news, analyses, interviews, opinion pieces and updates on EU laws, as well as reports on topical issue

  • GreenFILE: Abstracting and indexing database covering all aspects of human impact to the environment

  • MSCI ESG Research and Sustainalytics are sustainability rating agencies that rate companies according to ESG criteria (environmental, social, governance) for the areas of environment, social issues as well as responsible corporate management

  • Statista: e.g. with energy and environmental statistics on sustainability and data on topics such as climate change, green economy, sustainable investments in the energy sector, biodiversity, organic farming
