Welcome to ICG Negin Attar-Niggemann

Since 1 October 2026, Negin Attar-Niggemann has been joining our institute as a postdoctoral research assistant on a non-tenure-track position. We warmly welcome her and are very much looking forward to working with her!

Negin completed her PhD in Accounting at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz in 2021. After a postdoctoral position at Johannes Kepler University Linz, she joined the University of Zurich in 2023, first at the Chair of Financial Accounting (Prof. Hui Chen, PhD) and subsequently at the Chair of Managerial Accounting (Prof. Dr Robert F. Göx).

Negin’s research focuses on several fundamental areas of accounting, including auditing, corporate governance, and financial accounting. She primarily uses theoretical modeling to study how accounting and auditing influence the economic interactions of decision-makers in the presence of information asymmetry. Alongside this theoretical stream, she conducts empirical research to test and refine theoretical predictions.

Her professional expertise will be a valuable addition to our team. We wish her a successful start, many inspiring encounters and a rewarding time at our institute.
