A big thank you to Franz Hiesinger, CFO of Mayr-Melnhof Group, for his insightful talk on “Managing Crises – Navigating the Unforeseeable.” at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business.

The real-world examples shared with our BGM students—especially around managing operations in regions such as Russia, Ukraine, and Iran—highlighted just how complex and demanding decision-making has become for global companies today.

It was a valuable learning experience for all of us, with key takeaways on sustainability, resilience, and effective risk management in uncertain times.
