3rd International Conference on Auditing and Artificial Intelligence in Duisburg

08/09/2026

September 2–4, 2026

It was a great experience for Prof. d'Arcy and R. Midhun Krishna participating in the 3rd International Conference on Auditing and Artificial Intelligence - 2026, organized by Marc Eulerich and his team.

Midhun presented our paper "Can AI Reduce False Positives in Auditing? From statistical anomalies to control-relevant risk", and we were delighted by the positive feedback, thoughtful questions, and engaging discussions it sparked among participants. It was encouraging to see such strong interest in our research and to exchange perspectives with both academics and practitioners.

Prof. d’Arcy was also honored to serve as moderator of the closing panel discussion with Marc Eulerich (University of Duisburg-Essen), David A. Wood (Brigham Young University), Andreas Pöhlmann (IDW), and Jan Stottrop (DIIR), where they explored important topics around the future of the audit profession, including how education, skills, and professional development need to evolve to prepare auditors for 2030 and beyond.

Many thanks to Marc Eulerich, the organizers, the co-presenters, the panelists, and all participants for creating a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and forward-looking discussions. We look forward to continuing these conversations.
