Collaborative podcasts as an assignment

This contribution to the LEHRE Digital 2025 event shows how a collaborative podcast assignment supports students in the practical application of knowledge.

As part of the LEHRE Digital 2025 event, Andrea Romo Pérez presented a collaborative podcast assignment from her course "Selected Diversity Dimensions and Intersectionality". The format enables students to apply intersectional theory in a creative and practical way.

In groups, students develop a 20-minute podcast episode based on an interview with a person who has had their own experiences with intersectional privilege and discrimination. The content work combines personal narratives with theoretical concepts from the course.

The assignment is clearly structured and includes a technical introduction in the FLEX Studio, the podcast production and a presentation of the results at the end of the semester.
