EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Talento is a peer-to-peer platform designed to connect individuals eager to learn new hobbies with experienced freelance coaches ready to share their expertise.

Goal

Our goal at Talento is to empower individuals to enhance their skills at their convenience, offering accessible tools and resources. Beyond being a platform, Talento represents a movement towards a future where everyone, regardless of their background, can engage in learning, teaching, and personal growth collaboratively. We aim to foster a community where knowledge-sharing is accessible, inclusive, and transformative, enabling individuals to pursue their passions and achieve their full potential.

Methodology

To gain deeper insights into our customers’ needs, we conducted comprehensive market research and multiple surveys, providing a broad overview of fundamental trends. Building upon this foundational research, we refined our focus and conducted qualitative interviews with both customers and coaches. This approach unveiled nuanced aspects of our business, revealing critical insights that guide our strategy and enhance our understanding of user dynamics.

Results

Our surveys and interviews highlighted significant barriers to learning new skills, such as time, money, and motivation, with enjoyment being essential for successful learning. Many struggle with consistency and are hesitant to sacrifice free time, leading us to plan for gamification to boost engagement. Subsequent research revealed a broad interest in sports, with dancing and yoga emerging as key areas, particularly among young adults and mothers with young children. We found that freelance coaches and teachers, face challenges in attracting students and managing schedules. To address this, Talento will offer an easy-to-use platform for scheduling and payments, emphasizing group classes to foster community and affordability. By focusing on these aspects, Talento aims to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience for both learners and coaches.
