At this year's ECER conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, entitled “Reforming Education and the Imperative of Constant Change: Ambivalent roles of policy and educational research,” the Education Sciences Group was represented with two presentations and in a working group on “Early School-Leaving in the European Union: Comparative Perspectives (Part I).”

Marie Gitschthaler and Erna Nairz-Wirth spoke in their presentation "On the Fiscal, Social, and Individual Costs of Early School Leaving" (Link to the abstract).

Franziska Lessky's contribution was as follows: "Negotiating membership in different social groups and fields: study-work-balances of first-in-family students in Austria" (Link to the abstract).
