Archit Singhal is broadly interested in macroeconomics, specifically working on the technology adoption with respect to emergent generative language and relatedly intelligent technologies. He is currently investigating the channels through which such technologies impact the productivity side of the economy in a growth model set up, as well as how they impact the cost structure within those models. With respect to the cost side, the energy production sector and the related greenhouse emissions due to enhanced energy demand are the central focus of investigation. 

His previous work has been related to understanding the impacts of similar generative intelligence technologies on the Latin American economies, their productivity, and their potential role in enhancing formality of labor and capital allocation across the region. He also has been previously investigating the role that managerial risk aversion plays in determining the entry and exit of high innovation firms in the market. 

He further plans to investigate the role of monetary policy in the potential distortion of horizons across heterogeneous agents in the market with respect to the financing of technology production and adoption in the macroeconomy.
