Hanns Abele Prize 2024

It was a firm conviction of Hanns Abele, late professor of economics at WU Vienna, that good economic policy has to rest on solid scientific foundations. To support young PostDoc researchers who work in the tradition of this conviction, WU’s Department of Economics is pleased to announce its Hanns Abele Prize, an award made possible by a generous donation of the Abele family.

We would like to draw your attention to this year’s call for applications for the Hanns Abele Prize.

The prize is endowed with € 2.000 and is aimed at and is aimed at young postdoctoral researches whose dissertations have dealt with the scientific foundations of economic policy.
