Reinhard Millner is head of the Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation and a Senior Researcher at the Competence Center for Nonprofit Organizations and Social Entrepreneurship at WU Vienna. He also serves as academic director of the NGO Academy and the Executive Master’s Program in Social Innovation and Management at the WU Executive Academy, as well as program director of the MEGA Academy.

After studying business administration and economics, he completed his doctorate at WU Vienna. His academic and research stays took him to the University of St. Gallen, the London School of Economics, and the Stockholm School of Economics. From 2013 to 2015, he was a member of the expert group of the European Commission on Social Impact Measurement as part of the Social Business Initiative.

As a jury member and project evaluator for various awards and public funding schemes, he has assessed numerous projects and submissions related to innovation, business models, and societal impact in recent years.

His teaching and research focus on Social Entrepreneurship, Social Innovation, Impact Measurement, Foundations and Philanthropy, as well as Impact Investing and Social Impact Bonds. His research has been published in academic journals such as Voluntas, Nonprofit Policy Forum, Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Journal of Management Inquiry, and Public Management Review.
