Boris Marte named Honorary Senator of WU

It is a particular honour that Boris Marte, long-standing CEO and now Senior Adviser to the Board of the ERSTE Foundation, has been appointed an Honorary Senator by WU Vienna. This award recognises Boris’s long-standing commitment to civil society in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as his decades-long partnership with WU. Since 2013, he has played a key role in shaping the NGO Academy, a joint initiative of the ERSTE Foundation and WU's Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation.

Boris himself says: “So many people across Europe who are passionate about a good cause have been able to advocate for their cause even more effectively through the NGO Academy – and have found like-minded people at the same time. Together, they are making this Europe a better place, and I am delighted that I have been able to contribute to this through the ERSTE Foundation.”
