Networking Event of the City of Vienna’s Anniversary Fund

At the networking event of the City of Vienna’s Anniversary Fund, Martin Mehrwald (Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation) presented recent research findings on collaborations between city administrations and social enterprises.

The poster presented is based on a qualitative analysis conducted in Hamburg, The Hague, and Vienna and examines how different governance approaches, institutional frameworks, and strategic orientations shape these collaborations. Among other things, the results show that clearly defined points of contact, integrative strategies, and alignment with the respective city’s identity can foster cooperation with social enterprises.

This was followed by lively discussions with representatives from academia and the field regarding the potential, challenges, and future prospects of cross-sector collaboration.
