Impact-oriented networks in the context of philanthropy: second evaluation of the Bosch Alumni Network

This report presents the findings of the second evaluation of the Bosch Alumni Network (BAN) and builds on the results from the first one by offering comparisons as well as new data sources, research instruments and insights. BAN is an impact-oriented network with over 9,000 members com-bining current fellows, former grantees, staff and partners of the Robert Bosch Stiftung (RBSG), which has been developed, steered and curated by the International Alumni Center Berlin (iac Berlin) in collaboration with RBSG and its alumni.

This evaluation was carried out by the Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation. It is the result of a 15-month research project (03/2025-05/2026) and is comprised of reviews of relevant literature and background documents from iac Berlin, the analysis of 60 interview protocols and two independent surveys with a number of 551 combined participants, as well as matched longitudinal and cross-sectoral com-parison between 2020 and 2026 data.
