FAQs

Q: I have been nominated to study abroad by the WU International Office and am required to complete the course “Cross-Cultural Competence”. However, the course I wanted to sign up for, which is covering my host region, is full. What can I do?
A: Please immediately sign up for the waiting list and contact the course instructor. You can find the e-mail-address in the course catalog.
Q: The CCC course that covers my host region does not fit my schedule. Can I sign up for a course that covers a different region?
A: If it is not possible for you to attend the course covering your host region, you can alternatively sign up for a course that has no pre-specified regional focus. A different region is only possible if there are spare places available. In such a case, you should contact the course instructor in advance. You can find the e-mail-address in the course syllabus.
Q: I am a BBE student nominated to study abroad and cannot find a course that covers my host region. What can I do?

Q: I have been nominated to study abroad and have completed the respective CCC course. However, because of Covid-restrictions, I could not go on exchange. Now I am nominated for a university in a different country/region. Do I have to attend the CCC course again?
A: In such a case, you do not have to attend the CCC course once again, even if the one you completed before covered a different country/region.
Q: The CCC exam is an open-book exam. What does this mean?
A: Open book means that you are allowed to use all the literature and material required/provided during the course. If specified, you may also use further (scientific) sources.
