The department welcomes Professor Elizabeth Strom who awarded the Fulbright fellowship and join the team since February 2017.

On 17 March she will hold a presentation "Shaping the Urban Landscape: Vienna and beyond". When we see cities, we see buildings, roads, and open spaces.  These landscapes, however, are manifestations of political, economic and social conflict. 

Dr. Strom has studied the decision-making processes behind city building in Berlin of the 1990s, and in several US cities.  In this talk she will summarize past research and discuss its application to Vienna.
