The Social Innovation and Management Programme is one of the capacity building programmes offered by ERSTE Foundation NGO Academy, a cooperation between WU Vienna and ERSTE Foundation. It combines practice-oriented training with a solid base of expert knowledge and, therefore, builds a bridge between academic and field inputs. Its design and contents are customized to a pre-defined group of nonprofit organisations being dedicated to social integration in Central and South-Eastern Europe. The three modules deal with the creation of new resources, implementation strategies through projects and the ability of sustaining success. These issues are discussed in various sessions on e.g. innovation management and social entrepreneurship, project management, marketing management, leadership or impact measurement. Furthermore, the Social Innovation and Management Programme, being a constitutive programme, offers participants the opportunity to apply the acquired competences to their individual course projects that deal with specific challenges related to their organisations. The development process of their course projects is supported by intense expert and peer feedback offering new perspectives and different solutions to existing problems.  By this means, the Social Innovation and Management Programme provides its participants with the opportunity of broadening their knowledge and skills required to manage their organisation, of using expert input to further develop their projects, and to build up international networks within the region they are working in.
