Position at IIB, other positions and academic career

As of October 2024, Aynur Temel has joined the Institute for International Business as a Research and Teaching Associate in the Department of Global Business and Trade in October 2024. She previously supported the Chair as a Research Assistant from December 2022.

Ms Temel earned both her B.Sc. in International Business Administration and her M.Sc. in Export and Internationalization Management at WU Vienna, complementing her studies with an exchange semester at ESCP Paris. During her studies she was named to the Dean’s List and gained industry experience as a Business Analyst at the deep-tech company Epoona and as a Research Consultant at the executive-search firm Stanton Chase.

Research interest

Ms Temel’s research interest lies at the intersection of internationalization, geopolitics, and strategic decision-making. Her doctoral research focuses on corporate behaviour during geopolitical upheaval, divestment and on strategic leadership team heterogeneity.
