Bio

Constanze Kerres joined the Institute for Ethics in Management in 2023 as a PhD student. Her research is at the intersection of artificial intelligence, ethics, and organizing and draws on sociomateriality and feminist science and technology studies. Rather than taking a rule-based approach to ethics, her conceptual and empirical work explores how the introduction of artificial intelligence triggers ethical questions inside organizations and how organizational members navigate these challenges as they arise in practice. In line with this focus on ethics in practice, she teaches Course II on specific challenges for moral action in organizational settings for in the undergraduate specialization EMOS (Ethics for Management, Organizations, and Society). Driven by her interest in the intersection of people and technologies, previously Constanze worked in the financial sector in the areas of change management and human resource strategy. She received her MSc in diversity and change management from Copenhagen Business School and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and BSc in management sciences from the University of Southampton.
