Franziska Lessky presented at the conference of the German Sociological Association (DGS), the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), and the Research Initiative on Occupations and Social Inequality (FiBus), which took place on April 25 and 26, 2018, at the University Club in Bonn.

She presented her dissertation project “Study, Gainful Employment, and Other Areas of Life: Compatibility Arrangements of First-in-Family Students” as part of a poster presentation. The conference focused on the topics of transition, discrimination/migration, intergenerational mobility, educational trajectories, and dropouts from studies or training. This year's keynote speakers were Andreas Walther (University of Frankfurt), Christian Imdorf (University of Basel), and Irene Kriesi (EHB Zollikofen).
