At this year's conference of the Higher Education Research Network Austria entitled “Uncertainty in Higher Education: Universities in a volatile World” on October 18 and 19, 2021, the Education Sciences Group was represented by Prof. Erna Nairz-Wirth (Chair).

From the network's mission statement:

"The Higher Education Research Network Austria comprises higher education researchers working in Austria. It operates independently, interdisciplinarily and is open to anyone who conducts research on higher education topics (not necessarily exclusively, but regularly) in line with the network's objectives and contributes to further development at the system, institutional, or stakeholder level.

The research goes beyond the analysis of one's own institution, e. g., through reflection and interpretation, and is at least partially published or presented at scientific conferences.

The network's goals are to connect people and institutions and to increase the visibility and usefulness of higher education research in Austria. The network supports higher education policy, leadership, and administration and facilitates scientific discourse."
