24/10/2016

Franziska Lessky, MSc, BA, was awarded a prize on October 17, 2016, for her master's thesis entitled "The Economization of Nonprofit Organizations in Austria".

In it, she explored the extent to which NPOs perceive pressure to economize and what factors influence this perception. The researcher concluded that the perception of economization can be attributed to a number of socioeconomic factors (legal form, field of activity, size measured by total annual income, type of employment structure).

The aim of the Dr. Maria Schaumayer Foundation is to actively support the careers of women in business and science and to promote research and improvement of the framework conditions for these careers.

The foundation supports completed academic work (master's thesis, dissertation, habilitation) that has been rated very good by all reviewers and demonstrates a high level of academic excellence.
