This year's European Conference on Educational Research on "The Value of Diversity in Education and Educational Research" took place from August 23 to 25, 2023, on the campus of the venerable University of Glasgow.

The team from Education Sciences Group at WU Wien was also represented at Europe's largest educational science conference with two contributions:

• Sabine Weiß gave a presentation on "A sense of belonging and social capital among non-traditional students in the interplay of field and habitus at Austrian universities".

• Christian Gehart presented a poster on best practices for preventing dropouts and promoting academic success.

• Prof. Erna Nairz provided significant support to both presenters during their respective presentations and chaired several sessions.

In addition to the exchange of ideas, the successful event also promoted international networking among education researchers in the field of higher education.
