Group members represented with presentations and their own symposium

The 2018 ECER Conference in Bolzano, Italy - organized by the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and thus also the largest educational research conference in Europe - was held under the motto: "Inclusion and Exclusion, Resources for Educational Research?" The Education Sciences Group was represented with two presentations and a symposium.

The symposium "Capability and Habitus: Critical perspectives on widening participation, social mobility and student persistence within global higher education settings",  chaired by Erna Nairz-Wirth, featured presentations by internationally renowned researchers Diane Reay and Sarah O'Shea, as well as a contribution from Ann-Marie Bathmaker, who acted as discussant. - Link to abstract

Erna Nairz-Wirth also gave a presentation entitled "Qualitative Relational Analysis of Early School Leaving". - Link to abstract
