On September 16, 2021, Lisa Zach received the Ulrich Teichler Award for her master's thesis "Career Transitions and Employability of First-in-Family University Graduates. A systematic literature review of reproduction mechanisms of social inequality," supervised and reviewed at the Education Sciences Group by Prof. Erna Nairz-Wirth and Franziska Lessky.

The Ulrich Teichler Award was awarded for the first time in 2008. The Kassel-based higher education researcher, Professor Dr. Ulrich Teichler (INCHER Kassel), established the award to encourage young scientists to engage with issues of higher education research in an academic context. At the same time, the aim is to raise public awareness of outstanding work by young researchers on this topic. The initiative was supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Science (BMBF) until 2013.
