The article entitled “Besser verstehen, wie der Euro rollt” [Understanding better how the Euro rolls] by Michael Köttritsch [last accessed: October 1, 2025] shows how she is committed to making financial and economic knowledge understandable and accessible to everyone. In the article, Bettina Fuhrmann emphasizes how important it is to teach financial topics early on and in a practical way - not only in schools, but also to adults. Topics such as budget planning, interest rates, and risk diversification should not remain a closed book. Special mention is also made of our WU Competence Center for Financial Education, in which eight departments at WU Wien work together to combine teaching, research, and practice.
