Outcomes-Based Contracts Workshop Vienna 2026

Following successful workshop editions at Audencia Business School in Nantes (2023), King’s Business School in London (2024), and Politecnico di Milano (2025), we wer honored to host the 4th Outcomes-Based Contracts Workshop at WU Vienna from May 21-22, 2026, bringing together researchers and practitioners to discuss social impact bonds and outcome-based financing.

Over two days, we explored how OBCs are being implemented in different national contexts, from Ukraine and Italy to Canada, and what lessons we can draw from these diverse approaches. The discussions covered impact measurement, the gap between theory and practice, how outcomes-based governance works in public institutions, and what it takes to scale these models sustainably.

A particular highlight was the discussion with Florian Bauer from ERSTE Stiftung, which grounded the conversations in real implementation challenges and opportunities.
