We are proud to highlight the publication of the new European Parliament study “Excises on Tobacco Products in the EU” , to which Mrs Hannah Kranawetter contributed as part of the research team.

The study provides an analysis on the impact of revising the Tobacco Taxation Directive, showing that a modernised framework can simultaneously strengthen public health outcomes and public revenues across the EU.

This contribution underlines our institute’s commitment to evidence-based policymaking at the European level, particularly at the intersection of taxation, market integration, and public health.

We congratulate Mrs Hannah Kranawetter on her involvement in this important work and are pleased to see the results informing ongoing EU policy discussions.
