We were proud to have a strong presence from our tax group at the 2nd Ghent Conference on International Taxation: Our team members Stefanie Pendl, Christian Renelt, Khairunnisa Ridwan, and Osaid Alshamleh contributed with insightful presentations and discussions, alongside our guest researcher Kenny Dekoster and our former PhD student Xixi Zhang, now at IÉSEG School of Management. A particular highlight was the inspiring keynote speech delivered by our esteemed guest professor Caren Sureth-Sloane. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizers—Annelies Roggeman, Isabelle Verleyen, and Dave Goyvaerts—for hosting such a well-organized and engaging conference. Many thanks as well to the City of Ghent for the warm welcome and for hosting us at the City Hall. A fun coincidence: our Welcome Reception took place in the “Austrian” Saloon.
