German Courses

In order to ensure the ideal course for every student, a placement test is mandatory before the first course. If you are still unsure which course to take after the placement test, you can contact us and we will offer an appointment for a personal consultation. If you already have proof of your German skills (Sprachdiplom, ÖSD-diploma), you can upload it directly.

People with a WU account can take the test directly on Canvas@WU.

Those without WU account can take the placement test offered by Klett-Verlag:(A1-B1: DaF kompat, B1-C1: Aspekte)

At the end of the test you can send us a copy of your result to blc@wu.ac.at.

If you have already completed your placement test on Canvas and are still unsure about course choice or could not complete the speaking part you can book an appointment with one of our experts.

Other Languages

For all other languages, please use one of the following self-assessment tests to find the right course for you. As a beginner, please choose A1.1 as your course level.
