Our mission in teaching
"We impart and optimize business communication competence."
The courses at the Department of Business Communication address the following areas:
Communicative competence: text-production and reception, negotiation, and presentation
Technical language competence: terminology of specific fields like, e.g. foreign trade, financial markets, marketing etc.
Intercultural competence: knowledge of other cultures and economic areas, as well as strategies for successful interaction with them.
These three fields will be based on sound general language knowledge.
