Giacomo Munda is a Project Staff Member at WU Vienna, working on the WWTF-funded project “Knowledge Representation Learning for Large Language Models.” He began his academic career with a bachelor’s and a master’s in applied language studies before moving into a more technical field and graduating with an MSc in Natural Language Processing from the University of Vienna.

His research combines symbolic and subsymbolic AI methods to develop knowledge representations for large language models (LLMs). He also investigates how LLM interpretability methods can be used both to reinforce such representations and to better understand how these models encode, retrieve, and use knowledge.
