Mujaheed Shaikh

Assistant Professor

Mujaheed trat 2016 in die Health Economics and Policy Group der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien als Assistant Professor (Non-Tenure Track) ein. Er promovierte in Health Economics an der Frankfurter School of Finance and Management und hat einen Master in International Health Management vom Imperial College London. Jetzt ist er Professor of Health Governance an der Hertie School of Governance.

Seine Forschung konzentriert sich weitgehend auf den Bereich der Gesundheitsökonomie und Managements mit Schwerpunkt auf Gesundheitsausgaben, Krankenhaus Effizienz und Wettbewerb und riskante Gesundheitsverhalten. Er hat auch ein großes Interesse an politikbezogenen Themen wie der internationalen Spenderfinanzierung für Krankheiten, den sozialen Determinanten der Reaktion des Gesundheitssystems in den Entwicklungsländern und dem Verhältnis zwischen Gesundheits- und Fruchtbarkeitsergebnissen.
