Getting from the airport to Hotel Regina
There are several options to get from the airport to Hotel Regina:
Local or suburban railway S7 ("Schnellbahn S7 "):
Departure from the airport approximately every 30 minutes, travel time 21 minutes to station "Praterstern" (about 7 stops). There, get off and change to the underground/subway U2 (purple line) and continue in the direction to "Schottentor" (3 stops), get off at "Schottentor". From the platform, walk one level up to exit the underground/subway station. An about five-minute walk will bring you to Hotel Regina.
A single ticket for the suburban railway from the airport and one direction within Vienna costs € 4.10. The ticket vending machine is located on the platform at the airport. Press "National ticket with a selection of destination" (Fahrkarte Inland mit Zielwahl), then choose destination "Praterstern" and press "OK buy ticket".City Airport Train (CAT) via "Wien Mitte":
The CAT transports you non-stop within 16 minutes to "Wien Mitte/Landstraße" every 30 minutes. Get off at “Wien Mitte/Landstraße” and change to the underground/subway U4 (green line) in the direction to “Heiligenstadt”. After two stops, you’ll arrive at “Schottenring”. There, get off and change to the underground/subway U2 (purple line) and continue in the direction to “Schottentor”. This is your final stop. Get off and walk one level up to exit the underground/subway station. An about five-minute walk will bring you to Hotel Regina.
A CAT return ticket costs € 21 (€ 19), a single ticket € 12 (€ 11) - the cheaper prices in brackets are only valid if you book the ticket(s) online).
A single underground/subway ticket costs € 2.40.Regional buses / Vienna Airport Lines (Postbus):
Coaches depart every 30 minutes to "Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz" (single ticket € 8 return ticket € 13). Travel time is approximately 20 minutes.
Taxi/cab:
The taxi stand at the Vienna Airport is in front of the Arrival/Departure Hall. Taxis can be very expensive (about € 45), but if you ask at a taxi stand in the Arrival Hall you can get a taxi for about € 30-36. We do not recommend ordering taxis for the arrival in advance as you might have to pay for the waiting time in case of a delay of the flight. In case you want to take a taxi from the hotel to the airport we suggest ordering a taxi in advance (at least 12h in advance is advised), see e.g.: coolcab.at or flughafen-taxi-wien.at and to be on time :-).
By train

Most overland buses stop in coach stations which are near railway stations.
Train station "Wien Hauptbahnhof":
The train station is connected to underground/subway station "Südtiroler Platz" on the underground/subway U1. To continue your journey take the underground/subway U1 (red line) towards "Leopoldau" for six stops, change at "Praterstern" to the underground/subway U2 in the direction "Schottentor" for three stops. This is your final stop. Get off and walk one level up to exit the underground/subway station. An about five-minute walk will bring you to Hotel Regina.Train station "Wien Westbahnhof":
Take the underground/subway U3 (orange line) in the direction "Simmering" for four stations to "Herrengasse" and get off there. An about 15-minute walk through Vienna’s old town will bring to the Hotel Regina.Train station "Wien Meidling":
Take the underground/subway U6 (brown line) in the direction "Floridsdorf" for 10 stops and get off at “Währinger Straße". From there take one of the trams 40/41 or 42 in the direction "Schottentor". Get off at the stop “Schwarzspanierstraße" (3 stops). You’re almost there. An about minute walk will bring you to the Hotel Regina.

Getting from Hotel Regina to the seminar location WU
You can take two routes to get to the seminar location WU:
Underground/subway “U2” from Schottentor
Walk from Hotel Regina to the underground/subway station “Schottentor” (approx. five-minute walk) and take the underground/subway “U2” in the direction to “Aspernstraße”. After 4 stops (about 6 minutes), get off at the station “Messe-Prater” and take the exit “Messe”. A 5–10-minute walk will take you to the seminar location, Library & Learning Center (LC). Walk from Hotel Regina to the underground/subway station “Schottentor” (approx. five-minute walk). Stay on street level and cross the street to get to the tram station “Schottentor” next to McDonald's. There, take the tram “1” in the direction to “Prater, Hauptallee”. After 11 stops (about 18 minutes), get off at the last stop “Prater, Hauptallee”. An about 10-minute walk through our green Prater will take you to the seminar location, Library & Learning Center (LC). For more details, follow the instructions on the WU campus map.

Single tickets are also available in most trams with a surcharge for € 0.20. They are valid for one ride including transfers.
