Communicate and Collaborate in ENGAGE.EU’s Virtual Campus

Teachers and learners of the university alliance ENGAGE.EU do not always have the chance to get together on site.

The Virtual Campus for ENGAGE.EU is a 3D interactive environment where learners and faculty from all partner universities come together - to teach, learn, exchange ideas and collaborate across borders. It creates a sense of presence and shared space, supporting interactive teaching formats, informal encounters and cross-border cooperation in ways that go beyond traditional online settings.

In this staff training, participants become familiar with the Virtual Campus and its facilities (e.g. audio zones, media walls, exhibition areas, mood board, …). They get an insight into good practices and develop their own teaching/learning scenario for their learning offer in the Virtual Campus.

Dates for the staff training:

The Workshop consists of 2 sessions of 2 hours each. Session 1 is a demo and an onboarding at the Virtual Campus (starting from MS Teams), with exploration of a few good practices. Session 2 takes place on the Virtual Campus, dives deeper into good practices and helps you to develop your own teaching/lerarning scenario.

Part 1 (2 hrs):

Demo and Onboarding: Friday, April 10: 1-3 PM

We meet in MS Teams, and, after a brief introduction, switch to the Virtual Campus

• Have a look at the Guide, register and choose your avatar

• Onboarding: Navigation and controls, Guided tour in the Virtual Campus

• Icebreaker + introduction round

• Good practices: Use of the Virtual Campus in ENGAGE.EU signature courses, further learning scenarios

• Discussion + Feedback

Part 2 (2 hrs):

Develop your learning offer for the Virtual Campus: Friday, April 17: 1-3 PM

We meet in the Virtual Campus

• Welcome back – collection of impressions and ideas on whiteboards

• Explore the Virtual Campus in a small group (brainwalk)

• Furnish a room according to your needs and ideas

• Design scenarios for your learning offer
