Coached by Birgit Hollaus, together with Claudia Wutscher, a team of WU law students participated in this year’s environmental law moot court – and won! The team, comprising Sebastian Fillei, Philipp Kezele, Chloé L. Olipitz, Christoph Turecek and Natalie Utschounig, took on the role as EIA authority and with it a huge task: the decision of whether to grant a permit for one of Austria’s biggest hydropower stations, Limberg III. In a fierce competition, the WU team was able to prevail over other teams from Juridicum, JKU, the University of Salzburg and the University of Innsbruck.
