Part-time, 20 hours/week
From 01.02.2024 limited until 28.02.2026

Please note that in accordance with the collective agreement, employment is only possible if a Master's (diploma) degree intended for the position in question has not yet been completed.

Entrepreneurship and innovation play an important role in the social sector, and young start-up founders in particular often pursue primarily social or ecological goals. As part of the position, you will support the academic and practical work of the Social Entrepreneurship Centre at the NPO & SE Competence Centre with a focus on young founders. Your position will focus on working with the international educational programme "Social Impact Award", whereby analytical tasks in the field of impact measurement as well as the active communication of the programme and the organisation of events will be part of your portfolio of tasks.

What you can expect

  • Design, implementation and evaluation of quantitative surveys to measure the impact of a programme for young social entrepreneurs

  • Research and preparation of quantitative data

  • Participation in screening processes for awards in the field of social entrepreneurship

  • Support in the fulfilment of research tasks and international research projects of the institute

  • Support and later potentially independent organisation of workshops for young social entrepreneurs

  • Personal support of the supervisor(s) in their tasks in research, teaching and administration


What you bring with you

  • Ongoing studies at an Austrian university (Bachelor's or Master's programme), minimum remaining study period of 12 months

  • Proven interest in the field of social innovation, social entrepreneurship and social impact (ideally previous experience)

  • Interest in and, if applicable, previous experience in theoretical and empirical scientific work and in the use of appropriate tools (SPSS/R, MAXQDA, etc.)

  • Interest and possibly previous experience in organising workshops

  • Interest and possibly previous experience in scientific work

  • Very good written and spoken German and English

  • Very good IT skills (SPSS, Excel, etc.)

  • Reliability and accuracy
