Endowment Management Program
The aim of the Endowment Management Program (EMP) is to establish a university endowment at WU.
The start of the program was in October 2010 with the dedication of the first "Endowment Management Gründungspreis" of the POK Pühringer Privatstiftung. Apart from the necessary seed capital the price comes also with the commitment of POK Pühringer Privatstiftung and ZZ Vermögensverwaltung GmbH to help WU to build up expertise and structures such that the university is able to manage the funds in an university investment office.
Through the endowment the university should get more independent from public funds and enable research in projects which would otherwise not be funded.
Portfolio Management Program
The Portfolio Management Program is an educational initiative of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the POK Pühringer Foundation and ZZ Asset Management.
The Portfolio Management Program allows students with financial specializations to participate in a unique program within Continental Europe. Students gain valuable practical experience in asset management in addition to their theoretical knowledge.
Participants of this program learn in their first year the tasks of investment analysts. In their second year they act as asset managers by investing on their own initiative in three real portfolios with a capitalisation of one million Euro per group. The three student portfolios are managed and structured by different investment philosophies.
The objective of the PMP is a practice oriented education to transmit all possible aspects of modern asset management to the students. For further information please visit the PMP homepage.
