Manyun Tang, DPhil

Manyun Tang earned her DPhil (PhD) in Accounting from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. During her doctoral studies, she was also a visiting scholar in Accounting at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to her doctoral studies, she received a Master of Accounting from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Beijing Normal University.

Her research focuses on corporate disclosure, financial and nonfinancial reporting, audit and assurance, and capital markets. In particular, she is interested in how different forms of corporate information and verification affect investors’ information processing, firms’ reporting and investment decisions, and capital-market outcomes. Her research also explores the implications of emerging technologies and data analytics for accounting and reporting. Before entering academia, she worked in Risk Assurance at PwC.
