Visit of the U.S. Embassy

On April 23, 2026, Mr. Juan Domenech-Clar, Counselor for Political and Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, visited master’s students at WU Vienna as part of the European law lecture taught by Prof. Monika Polzin, LL.M. (NYU). After a brief introduction, Mr. Domenech-Clar provided insights into U.S.-European relations, with a particular focus on Austria. Following this, the students had the opportunity to ask questions about this topic, the United States in general, and his daily professional life. The students took full advantage of this opportunity, leading to a lively and open discussion. To conclude, Mr. Domenech-Clar posed a few quiz questions on transatlantic relations, which the students answered with confidence. Mr. Domenech-Clar was bid farewell with a round of applause.
