Our Institute is responsible for teaching and research in public sector economics, a wide field of economics dealing with public finance, financial policy and political economics.

Practical relevance and an interdisciplinary approach are given high priority in teaching and research.

The researchers at the Institute deal with important current developments and questions in the field of financial policy, public finance and administration, as well as the consequences of European integration on the public sector.

Our faculty and staff are always happy to answer questions about our courses and the research projects being conducted at the Institute, and also appreciate any constructive feedback and suggestions for our future work.
