Franziska Guggi joined the Competition Law and Digitalization Group at the WU Vienna as a research and teaching assistant (pre-doc) in October 2022. Previously, she worked as a research and teaching assistant (pre-doc) at the Institute for Corporate and International Commercial Law at the University of Graz. She completed her law studies in December 2021 with a master’s thesis on the abuse of dominance in the funeral industry, which was awarded twice and published. Furthermore, she received a merit-based scholarship for her academic achievements.

Her dissertation project deals with the effects of data-driven competition law enforcement on the rights of defence of alleged undertakings. She has also conducted research on the topic of data-driven competition law enforcement as part of the interdisciplinary research project "DataComp – Data-Driven Detection of Competition Law Infringements: Setting out the Legal Framework".
