Magdalena Winkler is a PhD student and joined the Institute for Change Management and Management Development as a Teaching and Research Associate in March 2022. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg and a Master’s Degree in Management from Vienna University of Economics and Business. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked at the Social Entrepreneurship Center, where she conducted research in the field of social entrepreneurship and non-profit organizations. 

Currently, her research focuses on organization theory and entrepreneurship. In her dissertation, she studies the emergence of nascent market categories with a particular focus on organizational and field-level processes. Empirically, her research focuses on the nascent market of cellular agriculture (cultivated animal products). Amongst others, she supervises bachelor theses on the topics of (nascent) market categories and industries, cultivated animal products, and (social) entrepreneurship.
