Prof. Dr. Doris Weßels is Professor of Business Information Systems with a focus on project management and natural language processing at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. After studying mathematics, business administration and computer science at the University in Münster, she completed her doctorate at the Institute for Finance and Investment at the University of Oldenburg. In addition to her regional and specialist group activities in the GPM, she is deputy chairwoman of the board of the Digital Economy Schleswig-Holstein e.V. (DiWiSH). Since 2021, she has been a member of the AI ExpertLab University Teaching of the BMBF-funded pilot project KI-Campus, where she initiated the topic group "AI and Academic Writing". On 1 September 2022, together with the associated partner KI-Campus and other experts and lecturers from German universities in the fields of computer science, educational research and writing didactics, she founded the Virtual Competence Centre "Artificial Intelligence and Academic Writing - Tools and Techniques for Education and Science": https://www.vkkiwa.de/.

Effie is Associate Professor in the Strategic Management of Projects and an expert in Executive Education at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, UCL. She has developed the notion of the politics of the self and leads an interdisciplinary programme of research on the politics of the self in connection with ethics, professionalism and Grand Challenges. Her work builds on existentialist philosophy and the human condition, the sociology of the professions and the individual as an agent of professionalism, and critical management studies and the power of expert labour. She is chair of the Research Ethics Committee at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction and founding chair of the Post Experience Education Working Group at the British Academy of Management. Since 2017, she has been Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. With more than 20 years of experience, Effie helps people and organisations shape and achieve their vision, and more specifically how to make difficult decisions at the strategic level.
