As part of KinderUni Wien 2026, the Institute for Strategic Organisational Communication (SOC) and the Institute for Language and Discourse in Business (LDB) joined forces to bring insights from the field of business communication to younger audiences. On 21 July, Cristiana Dondi (SOC) led the workshop “Auf Italienisch ohne Worte sprechen: Nonverbale Kommunikation über die Sprachgrenzen hinweg” (Speaking Italian without Words: Nonverbal Communication across Language Boundaries) together with Magdalena Zehetgruber (LDB). Designed for children aged seven to nine, the workshop invited participants to explore the communicative potential of gestures and body language. On 22 July, Cristiana Dondi also supported Magdalena Zehetgruber in the workshop “Hoppla, das verstehe ich ja sogar! Auf Entdeckungsreise durch die Welt der Sprachen in Arbeit und Beruf” (En. Oh, I understand that too! Exploring the world of languages in work and professional contexts), aimed at children aged nine to twelve. The workshop encouraged participants to discover similarities across languages in professional contexts through engaging collaborative activities. Bernadette Hofer-Bonfim (SOC) held a workshop on "Typisch Mädchen! Typisch Burschen! – Echt jetzt?! Warum denken wir oft in Schubladen, was macht das mit uns – und wie kommen wir da wieder raus?“
